install no-ip [raspberrypi]

UPDATE:
maybe try duckdns instead of no-ip cause it does not to be renewed every month.
http://www.duckdns.org/install.jsp?tab=pi

or try https://www.spdyn.de

based on:
http://www.noip.com/support/knowledgebase/install-ip-duc-onto-raspberry-pi/
http://jankarres.de/2012/11/raspberry-pi-dyndns-einrichten/

create an account at noip.com and add host:
click on Hosts/Redirects -> Add Host ->choose your name

download software and install it:
cd ~
wget http://www.noip.com/client/linux/noip-duc-linux.tar.gz
tar xf noip-duc-linux.tar.gz
rm noip-duc-linux.tar.gz
mv noip-* noip
cd noip
sudo make install

check if it is working:
sudo noip2 -S

run the service on boot:
crontab -e
and add at the end the line
@reboot cd /home/pi/noip && sudo noip2

if you use it for ssh also install fail2ban:
sudo apt-get install fail2ban

enable in your router port forwarding for the ports you will need
for example for ssh:
enable in your router port forwarding for tcp port 22

for example for http server:
enable in your router port forwarding for tcp port 80

for example for https server:
enable in your router port forwarding for tcp port 443

hope your server is secure, cause it will be avaliable over internet now.
