usage diff and patch [debian,ubuntu]

based on:

create a patch:
diff -uNr main.c main_patch.c > main_patch.diff
or:
diff -uNr folder_a folder_b > main_patch.diff

apply a patch:
patch -p1 main.c < main_patch.diff

reverse the patch:
patch -R -p1 main.c < main_patch.diff

or use git diff:
based on:
https://git-scm.com/docs/git-diff
git diff [options]
or:
cd git_directory_where_you_changed_files
git diff > my.patch
